For Sp-Arte 2022, Galeria Lume will propose two different montages.

In the first montage, the endless theme of the end of the world will be discussed. In “Essays for the end of the world”, Lume will explore the different ways in which artists resist the “sanitary tragedy + ecological extinction + necropolitics” in which we have been involved for almost 3 years.

Without offering answers, the montage suggests questions, opposing artists from different generations; what governs our priorities? How do we view periods of uncertainty and conflict in the past and present?

In the second montage (Saturday and Sunday), we will exhibit artists who analyze the dream as a primordial creation for revolutionary thinking. Following the daydreams-reflections of the philosopher Gaston Bachelard, we realize why a work of art can be “an instant of the world” and that one of the principles for thinking about significant changes is the dream.
