Florian Raiss, german descent, studied at Accademia di belle arti in Florence 1973/74 and Rome 1974/75, and at Academia de San Carlos – Universidad de México 1975/77 in México City. He has participated in several solo and group exhibitions at important institutions, museums, and galleries in Brazil and abroad.
His works are part of Modern Art Museum of São Paulo’s collection, Collection Gilberto Chateaubriand at Contemporary Art Museum of Rio de Janeiro, Museu Afro-Brasileiro in São Paulo, Contemporary Art Museum in Ribeirão Preto, Museo de la Solidariedad Salvador Allende in Santiago de Chile, and also, with a quadruped at Parque do Povo in São Paulo.
Some of his pieces belong to private collections such as Marco Antônio Villaça, Adriano Sammarone, Alberto Atílio, Fábio Pena Cal, Roberto Sandoval, Oswaldo Correia da Costa, and others.
