Clara Moreira is an artist, lives in Recife, where she was born. In her practice, she uses drawing as poetic writing and body crafts. His artistic training took place in childhood, in close contact with popular artists in the suburbs of Recife, where he learned drawing and painting skills.

“I have been walking with the drawing, slowly, on this body that I am and that I carry and at other times I drag it (definitely the drag), and it escapes my fingers, coming from the exhausted scapula, I draw myself into animals, I draw the thread of the mirror, I unravel the satin ribbons from inside, I tie them to the strand of hair.”

In 2022 he won the 8th Tomie Ohtake Arts Prize and was a finalist in the 13th Pipa Prize. Also in 2022, he held an artistic residency at Pivô Arte e Pesquisa. His work is in the collections of the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, Museum of the Portuguese Language, Instituto Moreira Salles, Caixa Cultural, Banco do Nordeste Collection, SESC PE, Solar dos Abacaxis.
